GM INTRODUCED A SELF-DRIVE CAR WITHOUT A STEERING WHEEL



For 110 years, General Motors has been making cars with steering wheels and pedals. But that just changed, when they introduce a self-drive car on 12th January 2018. The carmaker's self-driving arm, cruise Automation, on Friday unveiled the latest version of its autonomous vehicle and the manual controls have been removed.

 Because the new GM vehicle is fully autonomous, the company says there is no need for manual controls, such as a steering wheel or accelerator and brake pedals. Instead, the car has several interior screens that passengers can use to communicate with the vehicle. The company has filed a petition with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, requesting exemptions from 16 safety standards.

 It says these safety are not relevant because the vehicle doesn't have manual controls. For example when you don't have a steering wheel, it makes no sense to talk about airbags. Technology is ruling the whole world can you think of what will it be in 10 years time/after you have completed your degree, me I can't  wait... that's why I motivate everyone because when we give up we will miss lot of beauty of the world.     These cars are actually not that safe so I think the must be a licence for them too to keep everyone safe...

    Well, that means those people who are driving for Premiers,Mayors,President etc, will lose their positions.
    Job vacancies will decrease.
    That is also a crisis to some of the Africans.

    Technology is actual decreasing our job opportunities.

Over 30 Caught in Huge Forest Fire at Theni in Tamil Nadu, Air Force called in.

CHENNAI:   thirty-six people, mostly students, were caught in a massive forest fire in Theni distrit of Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening. seven women students have been rescued, they have taken to the Theni hospital. In the group, there were 25 women and 3 children who went on a trek organised by the Chennai Trekking club, the collector said. The group was trapped in forest fire on their way back on Sunday. A MI-17 chopper of the Indian Air Force is already on its way from Sulur, to assess the situation say sources in the defence ministry. On a request from Chief Minister Palanisami, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman instructed the Indian Air Force to help in rescue and evacuation of students. A senior police officer has told NDTV, that 27 students from Chennai has gone for trekking but "they did not take permission from the police or the forest department."
