For 110 years, General Motors has been making cars with steering wheels and pedals. But that just changed, when they introduce a self-drive car on 12th January 2018. The carmaker's self-driving arm, cruise Automation, on Friday unveiled the latest version of its autonomous vehicle and the manual controls have been removed. Because the new GM vehicle is fully autonomous, the company says there is no need for manual controls, such as a steering wheel or accelerator and brake pedals. Instead, the car has several interior screens that passengers can use to communicate with the vehicle. The company has filed a petition with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, requesting exemptions from 16 safety standards. It says these safety are not relevant because the vehicle doesn't have manual controls. For example when you don't have a steering wheel, it makes no sense to talk about airbags. Technology is ruling the whole world can you think of what will it be in 1
